Hello everyone, Assalamualaikum. My name’s Sumaya Afsana Orin. I’m 29 years old and writing from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have just completed my M.A. And currently, I’m a homemaker. I heard about Steemit from Youtube videos and became interested in working here, so I created an account.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself to this Steemit community. I was born and raised in a respected Muslim family in Dhaka, although my ancestral home is in Mymensingh. I was born and grew up in Dhaka. I had the privilege of attending Viqarunnisa Noon School and College for both my school and college education. I pursued my B.A. Hons in English from East-West University and later went on to earn my master’s degree in the same field from Jahangirnagar University. I am proud to say that I achieved impressive grades throughout my academic career.
Following the completion of my B.A. Hons, I gained employment in a foreign company as a business communication officer. While it was a rewarding experience, I decided to leave after a year to focus on my personal life. Presently, I am a homemaker and seeking an occupation that will allow me to pursue my passion while earning a supplementary income.
I would describe myself as an honest, straightforward person who's kindly withdrawn but also enjoys taking on new challenges. I forcefully believe that honesty is the foundation of all connections and can lead to further fulfilling life. Still, I also believe in being considerate and kind to others. Family is of utmost significance to me, and I cherish the time I spend with them.
Speaking of family, I'm the eldest daughter of my parents and have two siblings. My father is a service holder, and my mother is a homemaker. I'm presently married and have a beautiful two-year-old baby girl. My husband is a government service holder and holds a prominent position in his field.
In my free time, I enjoy reading storybooks, with a particular fondness for fiction, drama, and poetry. Bangladeshi writer Humayun Ahmed is one of my favorites. I also enjoy listening to music and writing, which I pursued as a student of literature. I have dabbled in writing short stories, poems, and articles but my recent passion is collecting innovative recipes and experimenting with them in my kitchen. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing my family members delighting in my culinary creations.
In conclusion, I am interested in being a part of this community and to have shared a little bit about myself with you all. I look forward to sharing further in the future.
