Writing and blogging on steemit supports that every steemian write original reports of things they know and can do and also say things without lying about them or vaguing them.
So members are not allowed to copy any post made by a fellow steemian to post on their accounts just to get credited for it.
On this note I introduce you to PLAGIARISM.

What is PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism is the presentation of another person's work as one's original work
Plagiarism is considered a going against academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics.
For example, an achievement task presented by another person in months past is presented by a new member in Steemit.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
The Common Types of Plagiarism
There are different types of plagiarism and all are serious violations of the Etiquettes of writing and school work.

DIRECT PLAGIARISM
Direct plagiarism is the word to word copying of a person's work as once own. It is simply copy and paste

SELF PLAGIARISM
Self-plagiarism occurs when a student presents his previous work or mixes it up with other people's work.

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM

Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the author’s language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original>. It is also called “patch writing, ” this kind of paraphrasing is punishable academically either intentionally or otherwise.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

Accidental plagiarism occurs when a person neglects to cite their sources, or misquotes their sources, or unintentionally paraphrases a source by using similar words, groups of words, and/or sentence structure without attribution.

TIPS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

  1. Don't wait until the last minute
  2. Properly site your source
  3. Present original contents.

Conclusion: Plagiarism is a very wrong act in steemit which can lead to the end of a person's account. Therefore it is an Etiquette in steemit that we report things, happenings and event from the point of our view and not copy another steemian's work. Even if one has to copy the author should be quoted not to mislead the reader to think that the work is the writer's.

I hope my write-up makes sense to you all.
Thanks for reading.
