Many people around the world appreciate the Olympic Games, and often the Olympic Games that have been held are the biggest Olympic Games ever! And there needs to be much building of constructions and much security in relation to such an event. And there needs to be planning, implementing and follow-up of work in the world class, to make the event being sparkle!
The Torch Relay in relation to a new Olympic Games is the running of the Olympic flame from Olympia in Greece where it all started to the organizing city. And The Olympic Torch always enters the opening ceremony during the Olympic Games, and the torch is both used for summer games as well as winter games.
We should follow our inner voice in life, and there is always much to do. So, let us use our human resources and build the organizations and the socieites in different countries in good, constructive and meaningful ways. We are here as humans to love each other, and every breath you take is noticed.
The sports history has shown us that many persons have fought for glitter, trophies and medals in the history ever since. We are just humans with all the ways we are functioning according to the sciences of the human bodies. So, in TV and in radio and in the newspapers, we are sending messages to the masses. And the masses can also do philosophy. And nowadays, it is important to apply for positions that we are qualified for, and that competence is better than none competence. We should go at the best universities in the world, if we have abilities and capacity for it. We are not any coward that is lacking courage, but we are heroes of the earth all days!
So, what is the history about that flame we are using in the Olympic Games, and that bring us in the relay from place to place, and ending up in the city that has the current Olympic Games? All philosophers have through all times dwelled with the air, the soil, the fire and the water. These things we are finding in nature, and we also find them in the Olympic Games, of course! Today, we can go the best ranked business schools and the best universities in the world, and get top score on every examination!
Like the situation today, they also lit the Olympic flames in the ancient Greece. The fire represented contact with the gods. According to Greek mythology, the humans first got fire when Promethevs stole the fire from the gods to give it to the humans, in such ways that the gods should develop a rich and a wise life in culture. Zeus was angry when he discovered this, and he punished Promethevs by linking him to a cliff, where an eagle chopped in his liver, and he also sent Pandora to the people.
The Olympic Torch was introduced for the first time in the modern games in 1928 in Amsterdam. The first Olympic Winter Games that had fire, was in 1936 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The Torch Relay was introduced in the Summer Olympics in Berlin in 1936. The fire was then lit in Oympia, and a relay with more than 3 000 runners brought it to Berlin. The first Olympic Winter Games with the torch relay in Norway was in Oslo in 1952, when the fire was lit in Morgedal, the cradle of skiing. When the fire is being lit in Olympia, it is lit by the sun by the means that a torch is placed in an umbrella mirror that collects and amplifies the sun's rays. The second time the torch relay was in Norway was in Lillehammer in 1994, and Crown Prince Haakon lit the fire. This Olympic Winter Games in 1994 was declared as the best olympic winter games ever! That was said by Juan Antonio Samaranch, and he is dead today, but what he said was important for the world, and he also had a high annual salary!
