Helpo friends of steemit contest, i hope you are all doing good.
I'm Edidiong Effiong from Nigeria, and in today's post i will be sharing some pictures of plant that grows in my Compound and also discuss about some things about it.

ABOUT THIS PLANT

This plant is called Afang or Okazi plant, it's a very popular dark green leafy vegetable that is used in cooking a very delicious soup called Afang Soup which is mostly eaten in the southern part of Nigeria.

The scientific/botanical name of Afang or Okazi is called Gnetum Africanum

BENEFITS OF THIS PLANT

Below are some few Benefits of the plant.

The plant leaves can be used in preparing a very delicious soup called Afang
It can be used in treating enlarge spleens, constipation and sorr throat
It can also be used in treating skin diseases
It can be used for treatment of digestion and weight loss.
