Club5050/Contest Photos Of Feathered Friends - Feeding Frenzy

Hello everyone. Welcome to Week 18 of this contest Photos Of Feathered Friends hosted by @strawberrry. Check out the contest post here. Read up and hopefully join in the fun.

I was walking towards the office the other day when I saw a commotion by the side street. Pigeons all over homing in on some food thrown at them by the owner of a grains and animal food store.

Apparently, twice a day the store owner throws out some grains for the pigeons. One in the morning, one in the afternoon. The pigeons seem to know what time the food will be served because a good half hour before feeding time the pigeons begin gathering, perching on electrical lines that run along the street fronting the store.

The pigeons are so used to pedestrians and are not afraid of people while they feed. They also are very good at avoiding moving vehicles and other objects.

Soon when the food was all eaten, they all fly away to do their thing or perhaps look for another store owner who will feed them. But without doubt, tomorrow morning at about 10 o'clock they will be back for their breakfast, or maybe morning snacks. Whatever.

All for now. Thanks for visiting. Stay safe everyone and good luck to all participants. May peace be with you all.
