Assalamualaikum.
Hello all friends. On this occasion I will take part in a contest organized by the community admin, @strawberrry. Where the contest on the 25th week is about Plants.
Okay friends, I'm not going to extend his remarks any further, just below I will show you a photo of a plant that I took in my yard, namely the Cambodian plant.
Plumeria is the name of the frangipani plant or in English it is usually called "frangipani". Flowers on this frangipani plant are familiar and certainly already famous for those who like to visit the island of the Gods, because this flower has become an icon there.
The origin of the Cambodian plant is from Central America and the name Plumeria was given in honor of Charles Plumier, a French botanist in the 17th century. Cambodian plants can grow in tropical and subtropical climates. Flowers on Cambodian plants have a unique characteristic that is must smell at night.
Cambodian plants can thrive in the lowlands to an altitude of 700 m above sea level. The hallmark of this plant is that it is easy to breed and does not require special care like other plants. This plant can also survive hundreds of years because this plant is a succulent plant, which is a type of plant that can store water in all parts of the roots, stems, leaves and flowers.
Morphologically, Cambodia has characteristics such as round stems and hard wood, bent with many branches. When flowering, the branches will lose their leaves and just look like a dead tree with bare branches. The leaves have a variety of shapes, including lanceolate with a pointed tip and base. It is green and thick, and the bones of the leaves stand out. Generally, the length of the leaves is 15-20 cm. While the width of the leaves ranges from 6-12.5 cm.
My favorite part is the flowers. Cambodian flowers have a diameter of 8-12 cm. The flower crown is generally five strands and has a distinctive fragrance.
Behind the beauty of the flowers, the Cambodian plant is considered a spooky and haunted plant by the general public because it is often also found in cemeteries/cemeteries. However, Cambodian plants contain many compounds which are beneficial for the body. The use of natural medicines as antibacterial is mostly done by the community and rarely causes side effects, one of which is white frangipani flowers (Plumeria alba).
