El Indio Chacao square is located in the middle of Francisco de Miranda Avenue, covers an area of 550 square meters and over the years has undergone many transformations, the last one carried out in 2004 by the then Mayor Leopoldo López.

This place marks the entrance to the Chacao urbanization, for many years this space has been used for popular markets, for political proselytizing of various tendencies, and for the stay of passers-by in the area. The people of Caracas have seen the evolution of this area of the city and the Plaza de El Indio Chacao has also seen how this city has grown and modernized its surroundings.

The work of Alejandro Colina, this cast bronze statue is located on Francisco de Miranda Avenue in the Indio de Chacao square.
