This blog is a contest entry about sharing photographs of feather friends and I've chosen pigeon as feather friend because they are my recent collection of photo. The contest is interesting and many of us has good collection of feather friends photographs and it could be any kind of bird around us. We can share about pet birds too.
Once upon a time when I was a little kid my parents had pigeons and they were adorable and like family but when they lost it really hurts. I still can remember one of my beautiful pigeon flew away and never came back home, I cried a lot. Since then I never dare to have any pet bird because when they lost or die, it hurts like we lost a family member and the pain is almost unbearable.
Today I'm going to share my recent photography on feather friends living around us and its pigeons. More or less we are familiar with this bird and its a kind of very good pet bird in villages. Many villagers take care of pigeons as their pet and pigeons can be considered as a domestic bird.
A day before yesterday when I went to the market I found some pigeons inside the cage and those were baby pigeons and these birds could be a month old maximum. Many people here love to eat the meat of pigeon and these baby pigeons are for sell.
Many people cooks pigeon meats like they cook chickens. Its as tasty as chicken and there are many family keep them as pet bird. White pigeons consider as the sign or symbol of peace. Many hobbyist collect different kind or genre of pigeons available around us and some collect from foreign countries but those pigeons need extra care as their feeds are different than the other pigeons.
Many people keep pigeon to produce more and sell them in a good price in the market. As I found these baby pigeons inside the cage and these going to be sell in a good price. Many livestock farmers keep pigeons as their business. They keep a pair of pigeons and later the pair give birth more pigeons and this way the production of pigeons going on.
