🍅🍓 MY LITTLE VEGETABLES 🍅🍓
Hello everyone my Steem Garden family
How are you. Today, although it is winter, I woke up to a beautiful sunny weather. How long have we missed the sun? Garden preparations, soil preparations, planting preparations would be nice in this weather. But unfortunately I don't have a land to plant. In my previous post, I told you about the flowers I grew on the small balcony of my house. If you want to read my article about my flowers, you can find it here. Now I have a small terrace on the top floor of my house, where I will show the vegetables I grow.
Here is my little garden 😊. I have done this garden in previous years. Since we are in winter now, I have not started gardening yet. Hopefully I'll start when the weather gets a little warmer. Tomatoes, lettuce, strawberries, bell peppers, parsley and purslane are cultivated in this garden. I bought all the seeds. There is a place here that sells very nice seeds and seedlings. There are all kinds of seeds out there. Of course, I didn't get much because I had little space.
In the spring, I cleaned my balcony well. I thought a lot about how to do it. I had several pieces of wood in my hand. We measured them together with my father and combined them with the help of a drill. We got a table to put 2 flower pots. There is also a faucet on my balcony, so it is very easy to water these flowers. I bought a lot of pots and soil. I arranged the pots nicely and planted the seeds inside. I was so happy as they started to turn green. There is nothing like human handiwork.
We went every morning and evening and watered them so that they would not dry up. Gardening really takes patience. We wait, we wait, the days pass, they grow very slowly. We didn't use any medicine, so they are completely organic 👍. My kids love strawberries and tomatoes the most. Even my little boy eats the strawberries even when they are green, without waiting for them to turn red 😁.
The view from our balcony is also very beautiful. There are always kittens on the roof of the house on the opposite side. We boil them with cheese and eggs.
Kids love it when the tomatoes turn red. These are called small cherry tomatoes. If I have a house with a beautiful garden in the future, I have dreams for it. I make my own garden, I buy chickens and roosters to lay their eggs 😊 they are beautiful dreams, I hope they will be lucky.
As we approached the middle of summer, the tomatoes, cucumbers and vegetables we planted grew and began to give us. We got our little little tomatoes and cucumbers. In the meantime, we were picking purslane with parsley.
Of course, it doesn't always go well, sometimes bad things happen. One day I saw that the tomatoes also have things like little white spiders. They were on the leaves of the tomato. You work so hard, you give time and it gets infested, which is not a good thing. I immediately looked on the internet and learned what I can do. I put olive oil and some soap in a small bottle, shook it and sprayed it on them. Needless to say it doesn't work very well. It almost passed from tomatoes to other plants. So I had to rip out those tomatoes and throw them away. Maybe that's why I watered a little too much.
Here is my garden. Even though my place is small, I worked as hard as I could. We spent time with my children.
It has been a great summer for us. The vegetables were very sweet, even if they were a little 😊 I won't be planting more varieties from now on, but that's how I decided.
