The Diary Game 20/07/2021. Bohemian Rhapsody - The Movie.

Bohemian Rhapsody wass the most awaited film all over the world by fans of the rock band Queen. And not only by them, certainly. Bohemian Rhapsody is a great movie for everyone, fan or not. The soundtrack of the film is fabulous!

A gang of four unadapted, apparently with nothing in common, with a noisy message addressed to other unadapted. To those who are hidden in the shadows behind the concert hall. Or on a chair in the dark corner of a party. Or those who live their lives in self-imposed anonymity. For fear of exposure to prejudices, preconceptions, superficial labels of society.

The way Freddie Mercury, dressed as an "angry lizard" to make an impression, presented the intentions of the newborn Queen to John Reid, one of the greatest music producers of the time, is exactly the message that Bohemian Rhapsody conveys to the general public. It's okay to be you, don't be afraid to express your thoughts, feelings, be creative and impetuous, feel good in your skin.

In the 70's society was still struggling with problems of accepting deviations from normalcy in any form they manifested, so music, satire, self-irony, skillful metaphor was the easiest way to reveal yourself unequivocally without stirring social waters and media in an obvious way.

Don't wait for an autobiographical documentary. You will be disappointed. Although the presence on the set at each scene filmed by Brian May and Roger Taylor offers veracity to every moment that unfolds on the screens. The screenplay also received the blessing of Mary Austin, the most important woman in the life of Freddie Mercury, a confidante and the one who so many times soothed his torn soul, the great love of his life. Even for the most traditional of us it should be enough for the credibility of the film.

The creative approach belongs to the director Bryan Singer (Usual Suspects, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse). The relationship between him and the production house is added to the list of controversies that this film generated, being fired at the end of production and replaced by Dexter Fletcher (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Kick-Ass, Rocketman).

Ramy Malek is fabulous in the "to date" role of his life, Gwilym Lee is the absolutely perfect image of Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon can be proud of their artistic representation of Ben Hardy and Joseph Mazzello.

Bohemian rhapsody was roaring in cinemas. And it is exactly as you would like it to be a tribute to sacred monsters. The film touches on all the important aspects of the band's life and the personal life of its undisputed leader. Including moments that illustrate Freddie's homosexuality and the open-air parties he organizes.

The chords of the legendary songs, from the tense moments of their creation to the 1985 epic performance at the mammoth LiveAid charity concert, will dull your saunas, delight your ears, make you cry and stir your soul. Four different people with a formidable common chemistry, with a terrible creative force, with an exuberant attitude, with a story about love, personal dramas, joy and enthusiasm. Tumultuous lives, heartbreaking lyrics, volcanic rhythms, supernatural music.

At the end of it you will gain two hours of delight for the mind and exaltation of the soul.
