Giugno e' un mese molto importante per il calcio cubano.
Intanto due amichevoli di extra lusso con Cile ed Uruguay.
Parliamo di 2 squadre che, rispetto a Cuba, sono di un livello stratosferico.
Cuba e' numero 165 nel ranking mondiale Fifa, giusto per avere un termine di paragone il Lesotho e' il numero 150.
La prima amichevole col Cile, nella capitale cilena si e' conclusa con un 3-0 per i padroni di casa, ed e' andata pure bene.
Con la celeste uruguagia del nuovo tecnico, il grande Bielsa, è finita 0-2 direi più che accettabile come risultato.
Non bisogna farsi troppe illusioni.
Comunque la nazionale cubana e' stata accolta a Santiago del Cile,durante il riscaldamento da scroscianti applausi, che non erano dedicati alla squadra che vale quello che vale, ma alla nazione contutte le lotte che ogni giorno deve combattere.
Dopo queste 2 amichevoli ci sara' la Copa de Oro, fase finale, si tratta del corrispettivo degli Europei, la Copa America, quella d'Africa e d'Asia soltanto che coinvolgera' le nazioni centro e norddel continente americano, la Concacaf.
Cuba e' nel girone con Canada, Guatemala ed una delle classificate dalle partite eliminatorie.
Passano le prime due, fuori contesto il Canada, Cuba se la puo' giocare per il secondo posto.
Guatemala ha appena perso in amichevole con Trinidad e Tobago...per dire.
Dal 2021 Cuba convoca anche giocatori che militano nei campionati esteri, se lo avesse fatto prima e meglio non sarebbe al numero 165 nel ranking mondiale.
Tenete conto che Cuba non riconosce il doppio passaporto, quindi un cubano o la sua famiglia possono vivere fuori dal paese da 30 anni ma per rientrare a Cuba, per una vacanza, devono esibire il
passaporto cubano, non quello del paese di adozione.
Di conseguenza i campionati di mezzo mondo sono pieni di cubani di origine che non hanno i numeri per giocare nella nazionale del paese dove vivono, ma potrebbero benissimo giocare in quella cubana.
Un esempio italiano e' Matteo Cancellieri della Lazio, ma ce ne
sono altri.
Pero' l'iter burocratico e' lungo e Cuba, o meglio l'Inder, organismo preposto, dorme o e' legato da troppi laccioli ideologici.
Le nazionali africane sono piene di francesi che hanno optato per la nazione natale dei genitori quando non dei nonni, perche' non lofa anche l'Isola?
Visto che il paese viene costantemente derubato dei suoi campioni di tutti gli sport da parte dei paesi europei.
Durante l'ultimo Clasico, il mondiale di Baseball l'Italia era rappresentata da una squadra dove soltanto 4 erano nati nel bel paese, gli altri tutti statunitensi con nonni italiani e doppio passaporto.
Il calcio sta prendendo piede nell'isola, grazie alla televisione che trasmette notizie e partite dei campionati europei, sopratutto quello spagnolo, non a caso i cubani si dividono fra tifosi del Real e del Barcellona.
Pero' a differenza del Baseball che e' d'elite mondiale il calcio cubano resta un calcio di quarta fascia, sarebbe il caso di dare il via libera a tutti quei cubani che giocano in giro per il mondo.
La stella della nazionale e' Onel Hernandez del Norwich, che pero'e' lesionato e non si sa se potra' giocare in Copa de Oro.
Quando 23 anni fa misi per la prima volta piene nella maggiore delle Antille quasi nessuno giocava a calcio, i ragazzini, in ogni parco, ogni spazio verde, giocavano a pelota, Baseball, oggi invece e' piu' facile trovare ragazzi che giocano a calcio piuttosto di altri che prendono a bastonate una palla.
E' un grande movimento di massa che andrebbe sfruttato meglio.
L'Inter apri' una scuola calcio a Las Tunas, mentre un napoletano ne ha aperta una all'Avana, e' un inizio.
Ora c'e' la Copa de Oro, comunque vada FORZA CUBA!
