Rientrato sabato intorno alla mezzanotte dopo due taxi e due aerei.
Qualche ora di sonno poi la mia valle mi ha accolto con una bella anche se fredda domenica di sole.
Domenica sono passato in mattinata a prendere Birillo poi un po' di spesa ed un pomeriggio a mettere a posto le cose in casa.
Ieri ho ripreso con palestra, sport, progetti e tutto il resto cercando di capire cosa fare in questo inverno e se fare qualcosa.

Intanto ho preso il biglietto per il prossimo viaggio a fine febbraio.
Mi allungo a quasi 40 giorni di soggiorno ma ci sara' tempo per parlarne.
Come gia' ho fatto altre volte occorre dividere il commento su questa vacanza in due parti.

La prima riguarda tutti i viaggiatori, i turisti di lungo o breve frequentazione, e' una cosa da fare con molta onesta' intellettuale ma ricordandoci se se andiamo in vacanza in Egitto o in Senegal
racconteremo innanzi tutto come e' stata la nostra vacanza e poi, in seconda battuta, la situazione interna del paese che abbiamo visitato.
Quindi questo pezzo e' da un turista verso turisti, in futuro ci sara' tempo per affrontare altri argomenti.

Lo scorso anno avevo raccontato di come le cose fossero complicate anche per noi, non trovavi pane, olio, carta igienica, birra, pasta, rhum, uova, pollo e via discorrendo.
Ora questo periodo storico e' terminato.

A Cuba c'e' tutto o quasi tutto.
Con queste tiendas Mipymes che siano particular, statali o a gestione mista, oramai si trova ogni tipo di articolo, non manca praticamente nulla.
Dall'Italia al prossimo giro portero' soltanto parmigiano e sugo per
la pasta perche' tutto il resto lo puoi acquistare direttamente sul posto.
Parlo di Las Tunas perche' all'Avana davvero il problema non si pone nel modo piu' assoluto.

Quindi da questo punto di vista sono stati fatti ENORMI passi avanti, non a caso le tiendas statali sono vuote di gente mentre le mipymes sono frequentatissime.
I prezzi sono ovviamente cari per i cubani ma per noi sono piu' che accettabili, anzi rispetto all'epoca dei cuc si spende decisamente di meno soprattutto col cambio informale a questo livello.

In tutti i mipymes si paga cash e in cup, possibilmente con biglietti da 50 in su perche' alcune tiendas i biglietti da 5/10/20 non li accettano proprio.
Nei ristoranti si spende meno di 2000 cup (8 euro), poi ovvio se ti bevi 10 birre il discorso cambia ma, soprattutto all'Avana e parlo delle zone nobili, mangi un aragosta con 6 euro, a volte anche meno.
Chiaramente nella capitale l'offerta e' maggiore quindi hai piu' capacita di scelta mentre a Tunas le cose sono piu' ristrette ma questo mi pare normale, e' sempre stato cosi'.

Pochissimo turismo a Las Tunas, i soliti italiani che bivaccano nel parque, qualche canadese, pochissimi tedeschi e
nulla piu'.
Invece all'Avana moltissimi piu' turisti rispetto a quello che avevo visto ad aprile, e' chiaro che siamo a dicembre ma credo che il 2024 sara' un anno di grande rilancio del settore turistico a Cuba,
soprattutto se la smettono di scoppiare guerre.

In giro per la capitale non c'e' piu' nulla o quasi di statale, tutto e' particular, tolti alcuni settori come sicurezza, scuola, sanita', energia, telecomunicazioni e prensa tutto il resto e' gia' al di fuori dell'orbita statale, compreso il trasporto visto che da Tunas all'Avana ho viaggiato su un autobus particular.

Spero che daranno in appalto anche tutto il sistema di pulizia della calle a La Habana ma non solo, perche' davvero quei cumuli di spazzatura pochi metri dal Capitolio non si possono proprio vedere.
Alla fine, ripeto, ho speso di meno di quando c'era il cuc divertendomi molto di piu' ma...ne parleremo.

Returned on Saturday around midnight after two taxis and two planes.
A few hours of sleep then my valley welcomed me with a beautiful albeit cold sunny Sunday.
On Sunday I stopped by in the morning to pick up Birillo, then some shopping and an afternoon to tidy up things at home.
Yesterday I resumed with the gym, sports, projects and everything else trying to understand what to do this winter and whether to do something.

Meanwhile, I got the ticket for the next trip at the end of February.
I'm extending my stay to almost 40 days but there will be time to talk about it.
As I have already done on other occasions, it is necessary to divide the comment on this holiday into two parts.

The first concerns all travellers, long or short-term tourists, it is something to do with a lot of intellectual honesty but remembering whether we go on holiday to Egypt or Senegal
we will first of all tell how our holiday was and then, secondly, the internal situation of the country we visited.
So this piece is from a tourist to tourists, in the future there will be time to address other topics.

Last year I talked about how things were complicated for us too, you couldn't find bread, oil, toilet paper, beer, pasta, rum, eggs, chicken and so on.
Now this historical period is over.

In Cuba there is everything or almost everything.
With these Mipymes stores, whether private, state or jointly managed, you can now find every type of item, practically nothing is missing.
From Italy on the next trip I will only bring parmesan and sauce for
pasta because everything else you can buy directly on site.
I'm talking about Las Tunas because in Havana the problem really doesn't arise in the most absolute way.

So from this point of view HUGE progress has been made, it is no coincidence that the state tiendas are empty of people while the mipymes are very busy.
Prices are obviously expensive for Cubans but for us they are more than acceptable, in fact compared to the era of the CUC we spend decidedly less especially with informal exchange at this level.

In all mipymes you pay in cash and in cups, possibly with tickets of 50 and above because some tiendas don't accept 5/10/20 tickets at all.
In restaurants you spend less than 2000 cups (8 euros), then obviously if you drink 10 beers the situation changes but, especially in Havana and I'm talking about the noble areas, you eat a lobster for 6 euros, sometimes even less.
Clearly in the capital the offer is greater so you have more choice while in Tunas things are more restricted but this seems normal to me, it has always been like this.

Very little tourism in Las Tunas, the usual Italians bivouacking in the park, some Canadians, very few Germans and
nothing more.
Instead in Havana many more tourists than what I saw in April, it is clear that we are in December but I believe that 2024 will be a year of great relaunch of the tourism sector in Cuba,
especially if wars stop breaking out.

Around the capital there is no longer anything or almost nothing state-owned, everything is private, apart from some sectors such as security, schools, healthcare, energy, telecommunications and electricity, everything else is already outside the state orbit, including transport since I traveled from Tunas to Havana on a private bus.

I hope that they will also contract out the entire cleaning system of the street in Havana but not only that, because you really can't see those piles of rubbish a few meters from the Capitolio.
In the end, I repeat, I spent less than when there was the CUC and had much more fun but... we'll talk about it.
