A volte capita di leggere di disavventure che capitano ai nostri connazionali nella maggiore delle Antille.
Gente espulsa dalle autorita' che per alcuni anni non potra' rimettere piede sull'isola, altri finiti al gabbio per ragioni piu' o meno legittime per cui parenti ed amici mettono in piedi petizioni coinvolgendo politici nostrani nella speranza di riavere a casa il proprio caro, altri che hanno investito tutto cio' che avevano in attivita' sull'isola che, una volta andato per aria il tutto, riescono a tornare in Italia sempre per la solita raccolta fondi da parte di parenti ed amici per riuscire a pagare il biglietto aereo.
Altri che subiscono furti perche' la fanciulla di turno, raccattata Dio solo sa dove, sciolglie una pastiglia nella cerveza addormentando il nostro prode per poi ripulirgli la camera di ogni oggetto di valore, denaro compreso.
Altri ancora ricattati dalla famiglia della fidanzatina un po troppo “ina” costretti a scucire cifre importanti perche' la cosa resti sotto silenzio e via discorrendo.
Sometimes it happens to read about misadventures that happen to our compatriots in the greater Antilles.

La prima cosa che mi verrebbe da dire e' un grosso CAZZI LORO.
Pero' analizzando la questione e mettendo insieme 22 anni di viaggi a Cuba credo di poter dire che nei confronti del turista c'e' sempre stata una certa tolleranza, diminuita (anche giustamente) negli anni ma che ancora oggi ci consente atteggiamenti che a volte possono essere “border line”.
Ho imparato che a Cuba, tu turista, puoi fare piu' o meno tutto quello che vuoi a patto che rimani lontani anni luce da 3 situazioni.

POLITICA
La prima considerazione che mi viene in mente e' perche' mai uno deve andare a Cuba per parlare di politica?
Se sei di sinistra torni a casa ancora piu' di sinistra, se sei di destra la stessa cosa, questo lo scriveva anni fa Goracci nel suo libro “Ad est dell'Avana”, quindi non e' neppure farina del mio sacco.
Sempre meglio evitare
considerazioni sul governo, la politica dello stesso, la situazione di Cuba, i 60 e passa anni di rivoluzione e la famiglia Castro se si vogliono evitare problemi.
Anche se oggi, rispetto ad anni fa, la gente parla con sempre meno timore di certi argomenti tu non sai mai se il tuo vicino a cui stai esternando il tuo pensiero e' veramente chi dice di essere oppure e'qualcos'altro.
Se Cuba non ti piace politicamente, se ci sono tutti questi problemi allora lasciala perdere e vai da un'altra parte.
POLICY

DROGA
Cuba combatte la droga a “Sangre y Fuego”, parole di Raul ad una cumbre della Celac alcuni anni fa, se pizzicano uno straniero che porta nel paese droga, la spaccia o anche solo la consuma e' galera per lustri senza possibilita' di scampo.
Conosco personalmente almeno un paio di italiani che si godono un lungo periodo di soggiorno nelle galere cubane per questa ragione, da quelle parti sottigliezze come “uso personale” non sono molto di moda.
Badate bene se, per la prima volta in vita mia, decidessi di farmi una canna proprio a Las Tunas saprei da chi andare...ma se lo so io volete che non lo sappia la policia?
DRUG

Anche qua' siamo in terreno minato.
Per la legge cubana sei maggiorenne a 16 anni, le case de renta sotto i 18 anni te le
rimbalzano giustissimamente.
Sul perche' in un paese dove, per mille motivi che non e' il caso di affrontare ora, esiste una cosi' ampia disponiblita' si facciano certe scelte il mistero regna fitto ed inesplicabile.
Pero' il problema esiste, so...conosco...
Ho avuto a che fare occasionalmente con gente che ama quel tipo di situazione.
Mentirei se dicessi che non mi sia mai capitata l'occasione, perche' un occasione capita sempre, tirarsi indietro non e' certo un segno di paura, unicamente di buon senso e di rispetto di regole che, per quanto mi riguarda, potrebbero anche essere non scritte ma che mi sono sempre dato per conto mio.
