Ciao a tutti,è qualche giorno che non scrivo perché mi sto godendo la mia vacanza in Toscana,ma ieri ho fatto un salto al castello di Poppi,e vorrei condividere con voi qualche foto del meraviglioso monumento che rende famoso questo piccolo paesetto.
E' veramente un bel borgo medievale dove all'interno troviamo sempre o quasi un castello.
Hello everyone, I haven't written for a few days because I am enjoying my holiday in Tuscany, but yesterday I went to Poppi castle, and I would like to share with you some photos of the wonderful monument that makes this small village famous.
It is truly a beautiful medieval village where we always or almost always find a castle inside.
Ho avuto la fortuna di visitarlo,davanti al castello vi è un bronzo di Dante Alighieri che sembra abbia soggiornato qui, ospite dei Conti Guidi. All'interno, da ammirare la scalinata che presenta un singolare effetto scenico e la biblioteca con oltre 50.000 volumi. Salendo sulla torre si può ammirare lo splendido panorama del Casentino.
Alla sera una particolare illuminazione crea una immagine suggestiva del castello che purtroppo non sono riuscita a catturare perché dovevo tornare a casa per cena.
I was lucky enough to visit it, in front of the castle there is a bronze by Dante Alighieri who seems to have stayed here as a guest of the Conti Guidi. Inside, to admire the staircase that has a singular scenic effect and the library with over 50,000 volumes. Climbing the tower you can admire the splendid panorama of the Casentino.
In the evening, a particular lighting creates a suggestive image of the castle which unfortunately I was unable to capture because I had to go home for dinner.
Il castello è piccolo e ben tenuto, affascinante sono presenti molte tavole esplicative , ricostruzioni di macchine da guerra, video sulla battaglia di Campaldino.
L' interno con molte parti in legno come le scale, le stanze molto belle e la salita fino alla torre è stata avventurosa,alla fine la visita mi è costata 7 euro ma ne è valsa la pena...super consigliata!!!
The castle is small and well kept, fascinating there are many explanatory tables, reconstructions of war machines, videos on the battle of Campaldino.
The interior with many wooden parts such as the stairs, the very beautiful rooms and the climb up to the tower was adventurous, in the end the visit cost me 7 euros but it was worth it ... super recommended !!!
