Unforgettable Trip #30 | Bambarakanda Waterfall | Highest Waterfall in Sri Lanka | Hunting Waterfalls

Hello Steemians!😎

How are your friends? I was not able to participate last week. However this week I'm going to write
about highest waterfall in Sri Lanka That is Bambarakanda waterfall. Let's move to the story.

Bambarakanda Falls, which is the 299th highest waterfall in the world, is 263 meters (863 feet) high.
It is said that because there were too many wasps(Bambara) around this mountain, it got the name Bambarakanda.
Bambarakanda Falls is created from Kuda Oya(River), a tributary of the Walawe River.

There are several other waterfalls around Bambarakanda Falls. They are,

These are just a few and there is no clear path to these waterfalls. I haven't visited them yet. I will bring you pictures of those waterfalls in the future.

Unfortunately for me, the day I visited there was very little water.

The real height of Bambarakanda falls is not visible. Above the highest waterfall (40 meters), two other waterfalls are falling.
From there it is difficult to reach the first waterfall.

Second Ella is located with a very free and beautiful pool. That is the most beautiful camping location. It's crazy to spend a night in such a place.
From there, falls the third of the 3 falls. It is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and is viewed by tourists from below.

Those who are going to visit Bambarakanda Falls, don't forget to visit Upper Bambarakanda Falls. You have to go up through a fine forest.
There are also two or three beautiful view points at the top.
