Venerdì 6 Agosto si è realizzato un piccolo sogno per me: la mia prima ferrata!! Ecco una mia foto durante la ferrata:
E’ un paio d’anni che aspettavo l’occasione giusta per provare il mio kit da ferrata su una bella via, e finalmente, venerdì ci sono riuscita!
I miei amici arrampicatori mi hanno accompagnato in questa bellissima avventura.
Siamo partiti di buon’ora a piedi dal campeggio in cui alloggiavamo in Val Veny (1516 m s.l.m.), destinazione: Rifugio Monzino (2.590 m s.l.m.), dislivello: 1000 m circa.
La prima parte del percorso si svolgeva lungo un sentiero, da cui da lontano si poteva vedere la nostra destinazione: il Rifugio Monzino, cerchiato nella figura sottostante!
Lungo il percorso si alternavano parti di camminata e parti di ferrata.
La ferrata è classificata come “facile”, ma devo ammettere, che saper arrampicare mi ha aiutato parecchio a bilanciare correttamente il peso e a posizionare i piedi e le mani nel modo giusto lungo la via. Di seguito una foto della targa all'inizio della via, in si cui spiegava come raggiungere il rifugio.
Ecco altre foto che ho scattato durante la salita.
E poi finalmente siamo giunti a destinazione! Dal rifugio si poteva ammirare in tutta la sua maestosità il Monte Bianco! Che spettacolo!! e’ la prima volta che ho potuto vedere il Monte Bianco nei suoi 4809 m da così vicino.

On Friday the 6th of August a little dream came true for me: my first via ferrata! Here is a picture of me during the via ferrata:
I've been waiting a couple of years for the right opportunity to try my via ferrata kit on a nice route, and finally, on Friday, I did it!
My climbing friends accompanied me on this beautiful adventure.
We left early in the morning on foot from the campsite where we were staying in Val Veny (1,516 m above sea level), destination: Monzino refuge (2,590 m above sea level), height difference: about 1000 m.
The first part of the route was along a path, from which we could see our destination from afar: Rifugio Monzino, circled in the picture below!
Along the route there were alternating parts of the walk and parts of the ferrata.
The via ferrata is classified as 'easy', but I must admit, that knowing how to climb helped me a lot to balance my weight correctly and to position my feet and hands in the right way along the route. Below is a photo of the plate at the start of the route, explaining how to reach the refuge.
Here are some other photos I took during the climb.
And then finally we reached our destination! From the refuge we could admire the Mont Blanc in all its majesty! What a view!!! It's the first time I could see Mont Blanc in its 4809 m from so close.
What can I say, amazing day!!!
