Mi capita spesso di guardare in alto e osservare le nuvole, con il loro lento e incessante movimento mi affascinano, e trasformandosi sopra i miei occhi mi trasportano lontano!
Io sono una sognatrice ma le nuvole affascinano tutti noi, rilassandoci e alleviando il nostro stress soltanto guardandole.
Ma se vi dicessi che le nuvole producono melodie? Anzi addirittura che secondo la forma delle nuvole cambiano le melodie?
Ebbene si, è possibile ascoltare il suono prodotto dalle nuvole, grazie ad un professore dell’Università del Quebec che nel 1997 ha inventato l’Arpa delle Nuvole!
L’Arpa delle Nuvole è uno strumento che emette un raggio laser puntato sulle nuvole e misura il segnale riflesso, calcolando la distanza e la densità di ogni nuvala tramutandola in suono.
Così per ogni nuvola nasce una melodia diversa e durante tutto il giorno grazie a l’Arpa si ascoltano delle colonne sonore che cambiano continuamente, e se si è fortunati si possono ascoltare bellissime melodie anche di notti se il cielo è attraversato da nuvole!
La prima volta che si è potuto ascoltare il suono delle nuvole grazie all’Arpa è stato nel 1997 ad Amos nel Quebec, poi l’Arpa ha iniziato a viaggiare toccando varie città in giro per il Mondo, permettendo a molti di vivere questa splendida esperienza. Attualmente si trova sulle Isole Frioul a sud di Marsiglia.
Pensate quanto deve essere affascinante lasciarsi rapire dal movimento delle nuvole e contemporaneamente ascoltare la loro melodia, sicuramente un’esperienza unica e indimenticabile!

I often look up and watch the clouds, with their slow and incessant movement they fascinate me, and transforming above my eyes they transport me far away!
I am a dreamer but clouds fascinate us all, relaxing us and relieving our stress just by looking at them.
But what if I told you that clouds produce melodies? Or even that according to the shape of the clouds, melodies change?
Yes, it is possible to hear the sound produced by clouds, thanks to a professor at the University of Quebec who invented the Cloud Harp in 1997!
The Cloud Harp is an instrument that emits a laser beam aimed at clouds and measures the reflected signal, calculating the distance and density of each cloud and transforming it into sound.
So for each cloud a different melody is created and throughout the day thanks to the Harp you can hear constantly changing soundtracks, and if you are lucky you can hear beautiful melodies even at night if the sky is crossed by clouds!
The first time one could hear the sound of clouds thanks to the Harp was in 1997 in Amos, Quebec, then the Harp started to travel, touching various cities around the World, allowing many people to have this wonderful experience. It is currently located on the Frioul Islands south of Marseille.
Think how fascinating it must be to be enraptured by the movement of the clouds and simultaneously listen to their melody, surely a unique and unforgettable experience!
