Ieri approfittando di una bellissima giornata, con un sole caldo e piacevole, con le mie nipoti adolescenti ci siamo dedicate una passeggiata in centro, gironzolando senza una meta precisa e facendo un po’ le turiste!
Con l’occasione ho scattato alcune fotografie, anche se il cellulare poco performante e la mia imbranataggine, non hanno dato foto spettacolari ahahaha!
Fortunatamente le bellezze sono talmente tante che alla fine qualche foto decente sono riuscita a scattarla!
Avrei voluto visitare la Basilica di S. Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri, tra le più belle di Roma, realizzata all’interno delle Terme di Diocleziano nel 1561 su progetto di Michelangelo alla veneranda età di 86 anni!
Purtroppo era chiusa! Durante la pausa pranzo chiude per riaprire nel tardo pomeriggio! Vabbè sarà per la prossima volta però l’entrata sono riuscita a fotografarla e ci accontentiamo!
Dopo aver apprezzato la Fontana delle Naiadi ci siamo dirette per la lunghissima e negoziatissima Via Nazionale dove le mie meravigliose nipotine non si sono perse neanche un negozio hahahahahaha!
Però da appassionate di librerie come la sottoscritta, mi hanno concesso una lunga pausa in una delle librerie più belle della città, all’interno di un palazzo stile Liberty con una scala che da sola vale la visita!
Per fortuna, visto le difficoltà di tutte le librerie, questa per il momento resiste, ma l’ultimo piano dedicato all’arte e alla caffeteria raggiungibile con la bellissima scala è stato chiuso!
Vabbè ovviamente ci sono state pause pranzo - spuntini e merenda che non racconterò per pudore ahahahaha perchè sono una zia molto accomodante e le furbe adolescenti lo sanno!
Con calma e molto soddisfatte siamo rientrate a casa, sfinite dalla lunga passeggiata ma felici di aver passato del tempo insieme!

ENGLISH VERSION
Yesterday, taking advantage of a beautiful day, with pleasant, warm sunshine, my teenage nieces and I went for a walk in the city centre, wandering around without a precise destination and being a bit of a tourist!
I took a few photos with the occasion, although the poorly performing mobile phone and my clumsiness did not result in spectacular photos haha!
Fortunately, there are so many beauties that I finally managed to take some decent photos!
I wanted to visit the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and Martyrs, one of the most beautiful in Rome, built inside the Baths of Diocletian in 1561 to a design by Michelangelo at the venerable age of 86!
Unfortunately it was closed! During the lunch break it closed to reopen in the late afternoon! Well, it will be for next time, but I managed to photograph the entrance and we are happy with that!
After appreciating the Fountain of the Naiads, we headed for the very long and very busy Via Nazionale where my wonderful nieces didn't miss a single shop hahahaha!
But being bookshop enthusiasts like yours truly, they gave me a long break in one of the most beautiful bookshops in the city, inside an Art Nouveau building with a staircase that alone is worth the visit!
Fortunately, given the difficulties of all the bookshops, this one is holding out for the time being, but the top floor dedicated to art and the cafeteria reached by the beautiful staircase has been closed!
Well of course there were lunch breaks - snacks and snacks that I won't tell out of modesty hahaha because I am a very accommodating aunt and smart teenagers know that!
Calmly and very satisfied we returned home, exhausted from the long walk but happy to have spent time together!
