The World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #098:
Inverted Tiny Planet, Mount Edgcumbe: The Folly

Hello Steemians. And thanks to @axeman for the honourable mention in last weeks Landscape/Seascape contest #97 and for the people who voted on my post here!: https://steemit.com/hive-185836/@daverobe/the-world-of-xpilar-landscape-seascape-photography-and-art-contest-week-097-inverted-tiny-planet-woods-mount-edgcumbe-cornwall.

So for this weeks entry, for The World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #098, I decided to submit an inverted tiny planet image from the same location; Mount Edgcumbe. Have a look at the image and post below and tell me what you think of it! 🤔👍

Last week I posted a tiny planet image from Mount Edgcumbe, a beautiful location in south-east Cornwall, the county where I was born. This location is a great place to visit because it is one of Cornwall's finest country estates, the stately home here is a Grade II listed building and has stood for 400 years. The park covers 860 acres and there are beautiful gardens in the style of Italian, French and English and beautiful views of the Plymouth Sound. You can see deers running freely and a structure on the hill which is described as a folly. In the dictionary folly means this:

  1. countable noun: A folly is a small tower or other unusual building that is built as a decoration in a large garden or park, especially in Britain in former times. Source <
This building that you see here was built to look liked an old, ruined tower but was constructed much later in the Victorian times, during the late 18th century or early 19th century. it was built so people could look out to sea at the English Channel across to Plymouth in Devon and to also add character to the estate. It is a Grade II listed building and when I visited on the day, I took my 360 degree camera, took some shots and vids and created tiny planet and inverted tiny planet/rabbit hole images you see here and on my other posts. Here's the standard tiny planet image of this tower: 🌐

And here's another tiny planet picture I took at the tower/folly:

So, what did you think of the image/s and post? Did you like the image/s and have you been to this location or do you have a similar structure or building where you live. Have a good week and hope to see you next time in a future post or contest. Stay safe! 😊
