A Pencil Portrait; "Tom Cruise"

Growing up, I heard the name "Tom Cruise" many times from the lips of my Uncle and older siblings, so it grew on me naturally and I was in fact a fan by birth. The only reason I haven't made a portrait of him yet is because I couldn't find a picture expression that appealed to me. I however resolved to make this one last week and the outcome is as a result of a new technique I'm trying, watch out..

The first thing my mind pictures when my ears hear the name 'Tom Cruise' is his smile. It never loses it's power. His calm personality in tough situations shows his been through a lot as a kid.
A few years back my brothers and I did a little digging around picking actors one after the other and making sure we saw at least 50% of their movies.
While we were on Tom Cruise, I watched with one eye closed his very deathly stunts. They look simple though compared to other actors but if a single thing should go wrong he would be fatally injured.

I still have on my smartphone two of the movies he did with his second wife Nicole Kidman and I must say, this guy's electric.
I think at this point I'll reserve my comments for another portrait. Do help yourself to it...
