My "Capless Skull" Sketch

Today was hectic, really stressful and somehow the achy parts of my brain were awoken. I wasn't able to edit the sketches I had intended to share both yesterday and today. So I thought I'd instead share with you one of my old sketches (I know you'll like this one cause I do).

It's a pencil sketch of a catchy 21st century funk skull with no cap. I have always been one of those dudes who believe very much in details and this sketch happened to be the fastest detailing I've ever done. This work happens to be one of my neatest so far in terms of depth. See for yourself;

For this sketch's outline, I used an 8B pencil, mounting pressure at different points. It really made the work easy and saved loads of time.

I had the other parts with dark areas shaded thoroughly and I also vividly expressed the bone marks beside and around the eye socket.

I then added depth to the upper open skull (The Cap) and the somewhat fleshy neck.

And lastly I completed the sketch by filling in the neck bones. It was exciting, very exciting.

The HB, 6B, 8B, and 10B. Pencils used in the sketch are from the trademark 'Bianyo'.

I do hope you love today's sketch cause I do. Do leave a comment, thanks for stopping by. I'll be expecting you tomorrow.
