The World of XPILAR - CITYSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #097 - City Park

There are people who prefer to live in the bosom of nature - in the countryside. And there are those who cannot think of existing outside of a huge city with all its possibilities and temptations)) But even the latter sometimes want to take a break from the noise of cars, urban landscapes and breathe in the freshness of nature. The easiest way, of course, is to go for a walk in the park. My photos show the Central Recreation Park of St. Petersburg, Russia. Its area is 96.8 hectares (more than 3 times smaller than New York Central Park, but still quite large). And what is it? Even here it is not always possible to escape from the urban landscapes. The view of the Lakhta Tower skyscraper is understandable, it can be seen, alas, from everywhere in my city, yet it is the tallest building not only in St. Petersburg, but also in Russia and in Europe. But, as you can see, not only a skyscraper gets into the frame taken in the park, but also residential buildings, a high-speed highway and even the dome of the water park.

And it's pretty weird to observe sculptures from the 18th century and all of the above urban architectural "delights" in one frame. Something here, it seems to me, is superfluous...
