The first mention of the Cathedral on the island of Kneiphof refers to September 13, 1333, this date is considered the "birthday" of the cathedral.
The main construction of the Cathedral was completed in 1380.
The Cathedral has two organs, and at present the Cathedral hosts concerts of classical and religious music, as well as international organ competitions.
