Never the same: 10 awesome sky's - part II

The sky is such an integral part in our life's

that we usually dont pay much attention to, unless it is raining. One of the major problems is that we cant see enough of it. Most of the time houses block the view to our sky's. I like to take that opportunity to all of you to show you some of the sky's only sailors can see. :)

Sailing to an island is special, having One of these sunsets we had on Schiermonnikoog - a Dutch island - is even more special!

A spectacular double rainbow in Medenblik - the weather on that day was typical for April. Rain and sun switched a lot. This is not necessarily the weather we enjoy but it certainly shows natures beauty.

The wind was blowing quite hard while we were anchoring in front of Richel (one of this bigger sandbanks in the Dutch Waddenzee)... Maybe 30 minutes later we had so much fog that we couldn't see the sandbank anymore - fascinating!

On of the more moody photos I took. If I remember correctly this was on our way to one of the Dutch islands as well.

In the time between sailing we really like to take a detour to the country side. This part of the Netherlands is called Oosterdijk - close to Enkhuizen.

The lighthouse at Oosterdik close to Enkhuizen - There is a lighthouse caretaker living inside and man is he a grumpy guy. I did try talk to him but all I got in response was his German Shepard barking to me... >.<

Stormy weather with a hint of sun. Be sure that this was decent sailing weather.

As I got up this day, I was more than amazed about the clouds. I barely seen clouds of this beauty and intensity and I rushed out to the yacht harbor and took this panorama shot.

A fabulous sunset in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes you really want to be where nobody else is at.

Once more a photo from Friesland / Netherlands. There is not much around this place - just fields and water but that sunset was amazing!
