About food experiments

Food photo / Week #72

Once in the journal Fast Food Nation published interesting results of one experiment. The experiment concerned only the food topic. In the 70s, scientists wanted to understand how the color of the dish affects our eating behavior.
Only volunteers participated in the study.
They were offered the usual meat steak and potatoes. Only one thing was not quite usual - the lighting in the room where the experiment was conducted.
Everything went according to plan: the participants ate the food offered with gusto. Approximately in the middle of the meal, the usual light was turned on.
And what did the volunteers see before them? The steak was actually blue and the potatoes were shades of green.
Some of the participants immediately lost all appetite, while other people were completely ready to leave the study, because they became frankly ill.
So the color of food is no less important than the smell and taste.
