LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #139

This is my submission for this week's Landscape photography contest. This Stanley Reservoir is Located in Mettur, Tamilnadu, India. Which is one of the largest dams in India. It is 120 feet high and 5600 feet in length, built in 1934. Recently the dam has reached its full capacity of 120 ft because of heavy rainfall. So, the surplus water is discharged through the 16-gate bridge. That is what you are seeing in this photo.

This dam is built across the rive of Kaveri. Which is one of the largest rivers in India. More than lakhs of people gather to drink the gushing water.
