Rome, where I'd like to go at the end of this lockdown.
In Italy the Covid pandemic has hit very hard.
Since the month of March, very strict isolation measures have been adopted which have made it possible to go through this bad period.
Now, finally, the restrictions have been eased, we can leave the house more freely, meet friends, go back to work, enter the shops ... but only within the region of one's residence.
I who live on an island, Sardinia, are even more isolated. In my region the restrictions remain and you cannot easily exit or enter our region for a few more weeks.
But in a short time they announced that it will also be possible to move to other regions, but always within Italy.
I love to travel a lot and, in general, I always have a plane ticket ready, a destination to visit ... and then return to my beloved Island. And in these months of isolation I have always asked myself that, as soon as possible, I would have taken a plane ticket to go and visit the most beautiful city in the world: Rome.
A city that I have visited several times but, it is never enough. After all, they separate me from her just over an hour's journey. But in these months of isolation the desire to visit places full of beauty has grown dramatically and therefore the choice of this city is completely natural.
Rome is a city that needs no introduction and in these quarantine months the images of a deserted city have been broadcast on television which appears even more poignant and, I would say, of an almost heartbreaking beauty. Rome is a city that fascinates with its archaeological and monumental heritage which, in this spring period, is even more spectacular.
The art of nature is allied with the millennial art of man and the results are fantastic. Visiting the big city parks in Rome still reserves some special surprises. Look at that blooms and colors.
Letting go and strolling in its historic center, in its parks, in its archaeological areas, in its places of art, in its fantastic squares is like making a transfusion of life. Yes, as soon as possible, I will buy my aero ticket. Finally!
Arrivederci Roma!
