📷 My new architectural painting "Petersburg in illustrations and pictures"

I wish you all a good and fun day! Today I will show my new picture, which is dedicated to the urban landscape and architectural sights of an interesting city, I hope many people will immediately recognize it :-)

I don't know, I really managed to convey all the details as clearly as I wanted, but in general, I liked my picture myself. A few years ago, I could not even imagine that I could draw something like this. And it all started out banally simple.

I drew a river and a bridge that will be illuminated by the bright lights of the evening twilight...

I drew a close-up of the lantern itself. In this city, the lanterns are so different, it is unlikely that you will meet 2 completely identical ones. I even looked for it on purpose, but I didn't find it.

Then I decided to work out the details of the buildings themselves. And here's what came out of it.

Moreover, I drew some things with dry pastels. I wanted to experiment and mix watercolors and pastels in one work. I hope you can guess why I did this.

But then I played a little with the photos. I especially liked the way the river and the pavement on the shore turned out.

And which of the photos did you like more?

Thank you for supporting me in my work! Your advice helps me a lot! I published many of my works in this portfolio on the website "Deviant Art", and in General, during the year of painting, I drew more than 100 paintings, of course some of them are just drawings, so to speak, a sample of the brush :-)

But there are also good paintings that have received approval even from professional masters of painting!

Thank you for Your attention and visit.
I appreciate Your feedback and comments.
I wish you luck and have a nice day!
Best wishes!
