⚠️ Is Your Content Being Stolen?

Source

I've recently been told about a new site that's another Fork of Steemit. It's called Voilk and as with most Blockchain Social Media, I'd recommend creating an account with your username before the scammers get there.

Unfortunately for some users, it's already too late and the likes of @axeman and @stef1 have already had their identities cloned.

I had a quick look through the content on their website and a lot of it looked familiar and everything about the website felt off. So I thought I'd search for the post that I shared yesterday and lo and behold, it had been posted under a different username.

So I decided to search the posts for any comments which would indicate some kind of genuine activity from registered users and found very little until I stumbled across a post where the website creators state:

Voilk is a free platform, everyone is allowed to copy posts, from where ever they want, and share with the voilk users.
We don't believe in cyber crimes, or content piracy. you are not among the founders or the voilk team, hence you don't have the power to define the company's policy.
Every user of the platform, is free to share whatever they want.

A somewhat outrageous statement that Voilk supports copyright infringement.

You can probably guess, this attitude pisses me off.

So I've looked up their domain name provider and it's GoDaddy so in accordance with their Copyright and Trademark Claims Policy, I submitted a Copyright Complaint using this form.

I recommend that all of you reading this search for your content on Voilk and submit a claim with GoDaddy and request that their domain name is suspended with immediate effect.

Here's a link to that form again - https://ipclaims.godaddy.com/

UPDATE: If you like a bit of irony...
