This is my entry for 'Cityscape photography and art contest week' hosted by @axeman.

This is a blend of old and modern architecture that originated in the middle of the last century. On the left is the primary school and right in front is the city library.
They are completely separate as buildings and function independently of each other, and when viewed from the outside they look like one glass building.
The school was built in 1952 and the library 10 years later.

At the time, it was really brave to design a building like this made of glass and aluminum and place it on the stone walls of the old town.

It is the work of one of the most important Croatian architects, Ivan Vitić.

City of Šibenik, Dalmatia, Croatia.

   ... thank you ...
