Buddhism teaches that the ultimate goal is to achieve Nirvana, a state of enlightenment that frees one from the cycle of death and rebirth (Samsara). Buddha's teaching are called Dharma, and the path to enlightenment is through the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path.
