Cairo is one of the world's megalopolis. It is a chaotic, overcrowded city, for a long time a meeting point between East and West. On the other hand, it is lively, vibrant and hectic. If you are not a Cairo resident, it is often difficult to understand the rhythm of life and the idiosyncrasies of its inhabitants. The Nile River divides it in two and forms an inherent part of the cityscape, but it is also full of historic buildings and monuments that you have to live through three times to see them all.

El Cairo es una de las megalópolis de mundo. Ciudad caótica, superpoblada durante mucho tiempo punto de encuentro entre oriente y occidente. Por otro lado es viva, vibrante y trepidante. Si no eres cairota muchas veces es difícil entender el ritmo de vida y la idiosincracia de sus habitantes. El Río Nilo la divide en dos y forma parte inherente del paisaje urbano, también está llena de edificios y monumentos históricos que tienes que vivir tres veces para conocerlos todos.
