Hello beautiful women,
This contest came at a perfect time for me as I was thinking about a gift for my sister in low. Her birthday was today and I wanted to present her this slipper I made.
Let's see how I made it.
These are the materials you want,
- Paper cutter
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
- Soles
- Insole
- Fabric piece
- Rubber Hammer
- Measure Tape & a ruler
- Ornament (I took a button from my cloth)
- Some Lable (Only if you can find)
These are the price list of what I purchased. When you purchase the soles you have to make sure you know the correct size. All other items I found in my own closet.
Item | Sri Lankan Rupee | USD | Steem |
---|---|---|---|
Fabric piece 1/4″ | 65 | 0.35 | 2.09 |
Glue (Half a bottle) | 300 | 1.61 | 9.63 |
Rubber Hammer | 150 | 0.80 | 4.81 |
Sole | 30 | 0.16 | 0.96 |
Insole | 35 | 0.19 | 1.12 |
Steps
Take the insole and trace the two soles size in fabric piece.
After drawing the fabric should look like this,
Leave about 1cm as a outline and scissors through the outline,
This is how your fabric piece should look now,
Now take the insole and apply glue thoroughly,
Secondly, take the fabric and apply glue thoroughly for that as well,
Once you finished let both insole & the fabric to be air dried for 20min,
Now glue the insole to the fabric,
Now cut mark the outline,
Then glue that 1cm cut marks into the insole neatly,
Now press the fabric and insole using a rubber hammer,
This is how it should look like now,
Take the remaining fabric piece and measure about 10'' 6'' inches rectangle and divide the piece into two,
Sew around fabric pieces,
Flip it over to hide the sewing marks,
This is the progress so far,
Take the fabric just sew and apply glue to the both ends,
Now glue it to the insole,
Press that as well,
Finally it looks like a slipper 😂
Now apply glue to the sole and insole, with your fingers crease the glue around the sole,
Let it dry for 20mins,
Now glue the sole and the insole together,
Press it well,
Now the slipper is almost ready, all I have to do is make some decoration..
This is the final result 🥰🥰🥰
Preparing Gift Box for my slippers
Now that I have made the slippers, I wanted it to give away in a nicely decorated box. The materials I have used is hard board, ruler, stapler, scissor, pencil and wrapping paper.
I gave her the present at her birthday today and she was really happy about it. I'm also happy that she loved it ❤️
Good Bye!
