Hello fellow travelers, how are you? Hope everyone is well and traveling to new places for peace of mind. Today I'm going to share a great travel story as part of Week 4 of the Traveling Steam Community Engagement Challenge Season 14.
I travel to learn about the place to get an idea of the quality of life of the local people there. Traveling gives me new experiences with emotional satisfaction. We also went to get peace of mind and to know about the school what it teaches and how it is run. Of particular interest was the buildings to see
Today's mentioned trip was a day trip and was a summer excursion. I know there is a very pleasant and peaceful environment where everything from education of children to training of village women is provided. We went to the Deepshikha Meti School located in Rudrapur, Dinajpur, which is funded by Germany and Austria.
Yes I took my very close younger brother with me on this trip. There is no satisfaction in traveling alone, traveling is complete with someone. And various questions arise in the minds of both about the places of travel which help us to know something new.
The highlight of my visit was the mud and bamboo buildings of Dipshikha School. The buildings are constructed of mud, sand, straw, bamboo, wood and tin. Its walls are made of mud mixed with earth and straw. Clay and sand are used for plastering the walls of the building. Palm oil and soap paste are used for floor plastering. The main attraction is the three buildings made of this mud which give this school a distinct look and identity.
We started from Dinajpur by train in the morning and got down at the local station and reached Deepshikha School by van. I entered the school with permission to enter and classes were going on. Providing women's boutique and tailoring training. We visited the school and stayed there for two hours. The school was funded in 2005 by a German charity called "Shaanti". Here children to class 10 are taught. The building was designed by German architects Anna Herringer and Rowarg. After talking to local people they are excited and proud to have such a school near them. They treat inquisitive tourists very well. We ate at a local hotel in the afternoon which had duck meat and some vegetables which were cooked in a very local and homely manner.
Yes my journey has been continuous and instructive. I gained some new experiences on this day and met some new people that I have gained in my knowledge.
I invite you @artist1111 @chefdanie @shahariar1 to participate in this travel contest. The best place you have ever visited
