My Memorable Trip In Childhood

Introduction.

Hello Steemit friends and especially to my friends all over **Traveling Steem **, This time I bring you the topic of My Memorable Trip In Childhood. For this I am going to travel to the time of my childhood, between the age of 4 to 6 years approximately, in which I lived moments that I consider memorable, which I dedicated to musical interpretations of Creole music of my country. I think I had some success. My artistic career was perhaps truncated because I suffered from asthma, which was for a somewhat prolonged period of time, so I was no longer in the field.

Description of my memorable moments.

My short career as a performer of Creole music from my childhood, began when I was able to participate in several programs in local radio shows for children in my hometown Ciudad Bolivar. At that time there were only two radios, Radio Ecos del Orinoco and Radio Bolivar; these two radios no longer exist at least with these names, both radio stations were located in the center of the city. The first radio station Ecos del Orinoco, behind the Merida school, next to the famous corner of El Sordo, Farreras square sector; and the second radio station Radio Bolivar, on Dalla Costa Street, near the Paseo Orinoco. This same radio exists in the same location as the radio I am describing; but apparently it has changed or gone through several names and at present I do not know what it is called.

These children's radio presentations were live performances consisting of reciting poems, dancing and singing. It was a stage and a room for the spectators separated by a glass wall. Both radio stations had the same design.

From these radio presentations; suddenly I traveled in the company of my mother (RIP) to the city of Caracas, capital of the republic, to perform on television, which also had presentation programs for children, but in TV format. This was something new for me, since I had never seen a TV screen, and at that time, there was still no signal from any channel, in fact when I performed in my presentation, they always made me look at the TV camera which I had no idea what it was for. The photos I show in this post are the ones that have survived after more than 60 years since I am currently 70 and heading to 71 years of age.

The photo in which I appear in front of a camera, I think it is from the old TV Channel Five (TVN5); I believe that this TV station does not exist today, unless it is under another name. I believe this channel was on top of a hill, today it is called Colinas de las Acasias. The other channel in which I also participated was RCTV, I know this because I don't remember having climbed a hill and there were no other channels at that time.
