Steem greetings my dear steemians,I hope and trust everyone is pretty cool .it's with joy I'm happy and able to be a participant in this wanderful Contest of Vol6 of the Creativewritngs organized by @thegreens which is solely talking about the Green Deeds.i wanna thank him so much for organizing such a beautiful Contest .
Now I will talk about my experience of planting Eucalyptus trees in the village of Mankon
Generally,we know that tree-planting is the process of transplanting tree seedlings, generally for forestry, olandscaping purpose or land reclamation.Trees contribute to their environment over long periods of time by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe.
Planting proper
My experience was Really a good one last month when we had to plant over 500 Eucalyptus trees in a vast hecter of land as we had to dig holes of about 4cm deep before carrying out the exercise of planting .we carefully removed the cover of the saplings, held the soil that protect the roots, and placed them on to the holes. We poured the hole with soil,
.
There are so many benefits of the exercise we did by planting the trees at the Mankon Village because we all know that :-
- trees give off the oxygen we need to breathe
- Trees improve our air quality by filtering harmful dust and pollutants such as ozone, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide from the air we breathe.
- Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat.
- Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals.
- Trees reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and hence also reduce the effects of flooding in our environment
We should also know that as trees grow, they help stop climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere.
