I'm not a Homesteader but I would like to be one to be a happy homesteader I first would need a home with land for gardening, some chickens and other livestock, a good source of running clean water to give the animals and cook with.
Homestead happiness would be to cook or bake what you want when you want no matter the time of year (some folks can't stand heat.)
watching the animals frolic and play and waiting for that fresh loaf of bread out of the oven or home baked pie after a hard day's work weeding or rotating the animals to new pasture fields would be my dream.
