Bacon and Egg Pies. Pirates in the Kitchen.

We decided to start selling Bacon and Egg Pies from our mobile kitchen. That meant we had to try testers. Pirates make a habit of eating their own culinary creations. Sometimes as much as three times a day. Plus snacks. And Rum.

Bacon and Egg Pies

To start. Cut out pastry rounds.

Flour your pans well!

You can use another pan to push the pastry into place.

Place bacon across the bottom.

Pour in an egg.

Break the yoke.

Then add pepper and more bacon.

Add lids and wash with a mixture of whisked egg and milk (we used almond milk). Then cook in the oven at 180-200 degrees c for 30 minutes.
