So today we are going to create a super quick and easy messy play activity for children. Then we will explore the benefits of messy play for children development.

Material:

- 2 plastiques tubs.

- Some animals for this theme I took some sea world animals

- Extra elements like crystals, stones, flowers...Anything the can make it more appealing.

- Shaving cream

- Water

- Pouring utensils like cups, water can...

So we are going to set up two different small world play. One with water and some pouring utensils. And another one with shaving cream, some animals, and little elements use your creativity to make it pretty and inviting for the children. Have both little worlds next to each other and let your child explore them and do his own little experiment.

Learning through play is a way to help children understand the world around them. For us it may sound logical that when we dip our fingers in shaving cream it will leave a print then we may have some left on our fingers that will be washed away if we put our fingers in the water. This is concepts that the child will learn in his play. Children are learning through their senses that is why it is important to provide them some sensory play like with water, paint, music, scents...

learning opportunities:

Creates an understanding of the senses

Encourage curiosity and experimentation

Stimulates imagination

Promote self-esteem and creativity.

Development of the languageΒ
