Draw on Blockchain : Claypot 煲仔飯



Almost the coldest days now. One of the famous local dish is "Claypot with rice". Ingredient varies, but rice and the claypot is a must :D The one I drew has chicken, mushroom, vegetable and Chinese sausage! Chinese sausage, like Western sausage, with more oil in it. The reddish one is made by pork; the darker one is made by duck or pig livers. The dark liquid is sweet soy sauce made for claypot. Pour the sauce on rice and you can start enjoy the pot.

The traditional claypot uses charcoal as fire source. It is difficult to use charcoal now but I think it is okay to skip it. The original cooking method is cooking rice in the pot, then add the toppings and continues until all done. However, some restaurants try to save time. Cook the rice by cooker and fill in the pot :( The texture is different, people can notice.

There will be a thin layer of rice crust on the bottom. If not over cooked, this layer is also yummy. Some people will add tea to soften the rice crust, but I like without tea. :P

大概是入冬最冷的幾天了吧?冬天就是要吃煲仔飯了!滑雞、冬菇、菜心和臘腸/潤腸~說明就不跟英語的了。最正宗應該是用炭爐燒,但現在不易找到,煤氣爐大火我也OK。煲仔飯多數是出外面吃的,現在不少都偷工減料,飯不是燒出來的,是先煮好再放,這能吃出來!這叫煲仔飯感覺被騙。吃到最底的飯焦也不是每家店都能燒出來。有一種吃法是加茶在飯焦上吃,但我比較喜歡焦焦QQ的口感^^
