One of the greatest things about Steemit has been that it has brought together complete strangers from so many different parts of the world on the same platform where they can not only work together but even become great friends.
Through Steem meetups organized worldwide and the annual Steemfest, a lot of people have become really close as we all work towards a common goal of building a big and happy Steem community.
That is why it’s always a pleasure to attend these meetups and put faces to usernames that until that point just existed on a screen. Really, meeting someone in person is very different to just chatting online as it has that personal touch and you get to know them even better.
Recently, I attended the New Delhi meetup organized by @firepower on 11th February. It was a really nice group of people there in the capital city of my country and I had great fun conversing with so many lovely people.

What started out as a round of introductions, quickly transitioned into hearty conversations about everything and anything that we could talk about. You can tell from the smile on these faces.
Obviously no meetup is complete without food and that was well taken care of thanks to the awesome location (Cafe Coffee Day) where the meetup was held. I really loved the Nachos at this place and actually ate like 5 plates of them!! lol
Yummmmm
It was really awesome taking photos with all these awesome people who had gathered there and to me, it felt like one giant family that is a part of an even bigger family.

We then made our way to a nearby park where @shenoy, India's very own Steemit meetup host (and an awesome Youtuber) was conducting interviews of the Steemians that had gathered there. This guy sure knows how to make people laugh!

After the interviews were done, I went back to the cafe to say goodbyes, hoping to meet them all again soon. It was a really incredible day and I can't wait to attend the next one.
Special shoutout to @varunpinto for covering the entire meetup with his camera and taking some amazing shots.
