Yellowjacket


Yellowjacket are commonly known as Wasps.
The different between Wasps and #yellowjacket , they hive below ground, predator on #insects ( eat on dead insects ) , kinda foraging.
Why are they call Yellowjacket? Their distinctive colors yellow and black strips on theirs body.
Their common size colonies are about 100 per hive.
Yellowjacket also have barb lance-like stingers which dislodged its venom.
Yellowjacket ground their's hive , one should be careful when doing mowing, if theirs hives are there.


As you can see, this one take back it's victim to its hive.
