Recently I've posted about my first experience on steemit and based on engagement I received I decided to make another post and share some "secrets" I learned in this short period, namely how to promote your posts on steemit.
Communicate
I think this is the best method both in life and on the Internet :)
I've mentioned in my previous post that it's more useful for newbies to read and comment other articles rather than post multiple posts themselves. And it's much more useful to write one quality post a day and spend the left time to promote it. You may try to find posts from the same category, leave a detailed comment and mention your post (maybe leave a link). Please, don't confuse it with spam, no one will appreciate spam in comments.
Also, there are many projects out of steemit (Steem network is larger than steemit) where you can leave a link to your post, but it's important not to be an egoist, so don't forget to read and left a review about others ;)
Steemit.Chat
A very good project, it's much like slack or discord, but almost all chat rooms are devoted to steemit. There are multiple channels to promote your posts, like promotion or Post-And-RUN. Just sign up and use search to get more.
Steem Follower
The idea is that every member needs to upvote 5-10 posts every day, for your upvotes you'll earn some points and for which you will receive upvotes for your posts from other users. What you need to remember is that it's not an upvote for upvote system, so you won't receive upvotes for shitposts, you'll need to post a quality content. And don't forget that you can upvote up 10 posts a day, so it's better to spend some time and upvote only good posts, also it will be useful to leave some feedback, most of the authors will appreciate that ;)
Steem engine
Very similar to Steem Follower, but there is some more functionality like follow-for-follow. Yes, everything is quite simple, you will receive one "follow point" when you follow someone and will lose one when someone follows you. But I wouldn't suggest following everyone in a row, follow people who post interesting posts for you, so that you'll be able to find only interesting content in your feed.
I think these 3 tools are quite enough for a newbie to get started, anyway, it was enough for me :)
I know I've mentioned it multiple times, but I think it will never be superfluous to repeat that it's very important to concentrate on quality! Upvote only good posts/comments, follow only those who post quality content, also, you should always consider leaving a detailed comment when you're upvoting (if you can't then maybe posts doesn't deserve an upvote from you). And of course, this will be good not only for you but also for the network!
