"So I just found Steemit" - Who is Ben Adapt?

Hi guys,

This is my first post on Steemit, so I suppose it would be a good time to introduce myself.

I'm Ben - I'm the founder of ADAPT Network (a blog about action sports, outdoor adventure and the natural world).

We recently built Search for the Planet (a non-profit search engine that directs 90% of it's profits to environmental charities). As you can probably tell, I care a lot about the environment.

As well as coding and blogging, I spend my time surfing, longboarding and venturing into the mountains, when I can.

So, why did I join Steemit? Well...I'm definitely interested in conspiracy theories (though I would argue that many are more than this). While I was at uni a friend introduced me to that infamous 'Illuminati in the Music Business' video. It blew my mind at the time, but exam commitments meant I couldn't do my own research.

It wasn't until I graduated, a few years ago, that I really became interested in this stuff. I spent hours and hours reading and watching research, in related fields, and eventually began to understand how the various 'powers that be' try to control the narrative, economy and our lives.

I'm glad to see that the balance is shifting—maybe Steemit will play a big part in that. I've been following Jeff Berwick for a while now—when he shared his experiences with Steemit I had to check it out. Looking at Jeff's recent posts, it looks like his experiences are mixed, but the concept behind Steemit is awesome so it will be cool to see where this new adventure will take us.

Thanks for reading this far - looking forward to sharing more posts soon.
