Irish Photographer here. Hello Steemit!

Hello Steemians! I think it's about time I made a proper introduction....

I've been on Steemit for 2 weeks now and the whole system and its inhabitants fascinate me. I've already made some new friends, and even some extra cash. I'm living in Dublin, Ireland. Most of the stereotypes are true... It rains a lot here and everyone drinks a lot, especially Guinness!

Photography has become a passion in the last 5 years. Unfortunately, health problems have prevented me from pursuing it as a full time career option. I say that not to garner sympathy but to give an insight into why I love Steemit so much. For the first time ever, I now have the opportunity to earn some money, working in my own time. And when I'm not well... I can chill out and recover. From what I can see, Steemit is going to be the best thing that ever happened the world of "work online from home". There are just so many ways to get involved, across many niches.

So most of what I'll be sharing on Steemit is personal work. If I never made a dime out of photography I would do it anyway. My other passion related to photography is teaching beginners. I sometimes organise group shoots and we all learn off each other.

If I'm not on in a forest, there's a good chance I'm on the beach. I love wild spaces. My personal work is not just about the results. I enjoy the whole experience.

Me and my photo buddy Erika. I'm very involved with the local photo community here in Dublin. We organise shoots with local photographers at all ability levels. I've made so many great friends through photography.

That's me with the camera and stressed expression. Shooting events is a lot of stress and responsibility. I've stopped booking events for now, but maybe I'll more again in the future. This was a graduation event and I had to get individual shots of everyone present in just 2 hours,.

Shooting on location. I love wild spots like mountains and forests. I work with a lot of tattooed models. The whole alternative modelling thing is big here in Ireland.

I'll leave you with a selection of my work....

This is Merrin. I was trying to do something similar to the look of my favourite photographer, Andre Josselin.
The lens used was Sigma 35mm ART - for any photography geeks!

Abeer. Good model and friend. How cute is she?

Vajola here is one of my best friends. We go on regular day trips and I always bring the camera. Soon we're doing a fitness shoot in a gym, with strobe lights. That's gonna be epic!

Up in the Wicklow Mountains here in Ireland last summer with some local models. Sometimes if I'm shooting more than one person at a time, I encourage them to have fun and be spontaneous.

I do some more creative work sometimes, where I spend a lot of time planning and editing.

"Red Bridge"

"Black Sheeple"

Sometimes I cover for a local headshot Photographer, Justin. He shoots a lot in the makeup academes here in Dublin. It's always amazing fun, though retouching can be time consuming. Here's a couple of my beauty headshots.

This is Ronan. He got signed to a modelling agency about a week after this shot was put on Facebook. It caused quite a stir on the local Facebook modelling groups. That felt good. Really nice guy too.

So, I look forward to getting to know everyone here, especially in #photography.

Thanks for reading!
