Hello Steemit! This #introduceyourself entry is my first post and I am very excited to join the Steemit community!
My name is Digicrypt, my background is in Digital Forensics and InfoSec. My journey to bitcoin all starts from my beginnings in digital forensics. While examining a forensic image I came across several encrypted files, after spending a good deal of time decrypting them I realized I needed to know more about encryption. My need to decrypt documents led me to studying cryptography and the rich history behind it. While researching cryptography, I was introduced to cryptocurrency, more specifically Bitcoin. I have been following the cryptocurrency movement since 2012 however, I have only recently become an active participant. Joining Steemit is a way for me to become further involved and expand my own knowledge while hopefully teaching others.
I am planning to do a series of educational posts related to Cryptography, Digital Forensics and Cryptocurrency. I have a lot of ideas for fun, interesting and interactive content for this blog although much of it will be dependent on the reception and interest of the Steemit community.
