Why this late introduction post?
I joined this awesome community about three months ago as some of you may know. At that time, to be honest I hardly knew what an importance do the Introduction posts carry in your Steemit career.. Here is my first post..
I didn`t really do well in the Introduction post as I hardly shared anything about myself, Did I? Hope by this post I will be able to reach a wider audience and express myself to you and this is also a reason why I used the #introduceyourself tag again.
A little bit about myself
I am in my mid 18s pursuing my graduation in Mathematics from Darrang College, Assam.. I was planning to do a graduation in Physics before but I very recently (In 12th Standard) made an interest in Maths. So far it's cool.
When it comes to my hobby
- I like to play on the guitar, I don`t know why I`m saying this because still I have not got my own one and unfortunately I`m about to forget the tuning of Jana Gana Mana (National Anthem of India), and Happy birthday I learnt to play from @rahul.stan .. But as YouTube is my friend, so no worries for now..
- I have also keen interest in photography. I have captured some photos of greenery and sunset which are appreciated by this awesome community. This really encourage me to give this passion of mine a continuous go.
- I like to listen to music in my pastime . My fav. Genres are Pop, Rock, Rap but selective, Bollywood music. I am a fan of Singers like Zayn Malik, Ed Sheeran and recently Shawn Mendes.
Few things about where I belong from:
I live in Gohpur, Assam. It's a beautiful place with many diverse culture living together happily.
Festivals of Assam: Bihu is the main festival of Assam. It is celebrated thrice a year as Bohag Bihu or Rangali Bihu (Celebrated in Mid April), Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu (Celebrated in Mid January) and Kaati Bihu or Kongali Bihu (Celebrated in Mid October). In addition to the festivals celebrated all over India, People of Assam celebrate Ali-Ai-Lrigang (Popular in Mishing Community), Rongker & Chomangkan (Popular among Karbis), Karam Puja (Popular among Tea tribe), Bagarumba (Popular among Bodos) etc.
Culture: Assam has many interesting cultures. Gamocha and Khorai are the most popular cultural symbols in Assam..
- The beautiful Satriya Dance, Ojapali Dance, Vekuli Biya or Frog weddings, Jhumur Dance, Tuloni Biya, Bhaona- Traditional Assamese Entertainment Plays etc many more. Please read here ..
Recipes: Assam has got many delicious recipes of its own. Some of them are Bamboo rice or Sunga saul, Koldil Paro Mangkho, Thekera tengar hoite maas, Sungaat Diya maas etc.
Tourist Places: There are tons of tourist places in Assam. I`m sharing a few with you - Hayagriva Madhav Mandir (Hajo), Powa Mecca (Hajo), Agnigarh (Tezpur), Deepor Beel, Sualkuchi, Jatinga, Naamdiang Stone Bridge, Famous Kamakhya Temple thus the list goes on.. You may find more here
How I joined Steemit?
@rahul.stan told me first about Steemit. He joined the community in January this year and suggested it to me right then, At that time as I was not allowed to take a smartphone in the hostel.. so, I finally joined Steemit in March 28 after completion of our !2th Board Exams..
Steemit to me
Steemit now to me has been an important part of daily life. My day Starts with checking notifications from eSteem and often ends with a post or few comments in Steemit.com .. So you can say Steemit has replaced other social media in my case. Is it the case also for you? Let me know in the comments.. If I have to say what steemit gave me, Please read this post of mine..
My goal in Steemit

As I have been helped a lot by you guys. So my goal here is to do the same i.e. to help the one who needs.
And help this community grow...
But not being quite a rich in SP, I often feel helpless when I see quality contents but still undervalued.
I think there is a need of more Curators as the ratio of New users to curators is very VERY high..
Hoping one day I'll become a curator that can be very helpful to the community and contribute in the community growth..
