Hi, I’m Deb Gully, from Wellington, New Zealand, nutrition and health coach, and natural therapist.
I’m excited to be here on Steemit - where the cool kids are. Cool because you’ve got smarts. You think about things. You’re discussing things that matter. You have considered opinions. You discuss calmly and politely. I might not agree with everything you say, but that’s ok. You’re people I want to hang out with.
After some challenges with my own health about 20 years ago, I started reading up about what good nutrition really is, and started summarising and sharing what I learnt in my own websites. That lead to starting my own health coaching practice http://www.debgully.com . We also sell nutritional products through our website at http://www.naturefoods.co.nz/
In my practice, I use nutritional coaching, the GAPs (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) diet, natural supplements, kinesiology, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and other therapies.
I specialise in helping people with digestive issues or chronic illness, but my real focus is in teaching people about how they can help themselves. My philosophy is all about sharing information, useful information that empowers people. One of my strengths is learning new information and summarising it, to make it easier for other people to understand.
I love to develop whole food recipes for people who need to follow restricted diets. Over the years, I’ve created a whole bunch of recipes for people with specific food needs. After this intro, my next post will be a dairy free Choc-Currant breakfast smoothie. Here’s a pic of my low allergy, but very delicious and easy to make Xmas cake.
I’ve been writing articles for my own websites since 1997, but am drawn to Steemit as it seems like the way of the future, and a great way to get helpful information out to a lot more people. If you want to read more than I’ve posted to Steemit so far, my website at http://www.diet.net.nz takes you to all of my nutrition info, and has links to my recipe site.
I live with my partner of nearly 30 years (who told me about Steemit yesterday) and our large fluffy Maine Coon cat, in Wellington New Zealand. Christo is the most photogenic of us, so here’s a pic of him.
When I’m not working in our various businesses, I’m into reading, movies, music, dance and theatre and specially love being a member of our local community choir.
