I'm very happy to join this self-regulated non-commercial community of yours. I bring a boatload of virtual baggage with me. The good the bad and the ugly. I will be sharing some it with you as I settle in. I have traveled my whole life being born in Germany and growing up in Europe until I was 17 then a long stint all over the U.S. and the Americas. I have been back in Germany for the last 1 1/2 years and am preparing to meet up with @luzcypher for a 6 month stay in Thailand.
I have many passions, to many to list here but riding motorcycles was one of them. Here I am on a friends WWII Zundapp.
My longest term passion has been computers. Having lived for a long time in Seattle, WA I got an early start. I had computers that ran on the CPM operating system, before Bill Gates came out with MS-DOS. DOS was actually a partial clone of CPM. To this day I spend a good chunk of my time in front of one. As of yesterday I just completed a Witness Server in collaboration with @luzcypher.
We are also putting together a different kind of travel blog called RealTimeThailand, currently on Facebook. We've got a number of projects in mind that we hope will benefit the community.
I look forward to meeting many of you and helping out with my large bag of experiences. Unil then keep up the HAPPY!
