Hey Steemers ! Let me Introduce myself with a story that sounds so unreal but still is the truth. My name is Nas and I´m a Personal Trainer, Athlete, Motivational speaker, Dreamer and Entrepreneur

Hello Steemers !

With this post I´m going tell you my story and how it brought me to Steemit.com

If I tell people my story it sometimes even does sound unreal to me but I´ll prove everything im writing here by facts and I promise that every word I´m writing is the truth, even when it sounds crazy to some people.

So my story starts on  August 22th 1992 the day I was born. I grew up in a small town called Luebeck in Germany. When I was 9 my parents got divorced and moved with my dad to a bigger city called Hamburg.

In Hamburg I grew up in one of the toughest parts of the city and so I always had to fight my way through. First I played Soccer like every kid here in Europe. Everybody told me that I´m crazy fast and strong but I couldn´t shot the ball so I kinda figured out that soccer wasnt for me lol. After that I started playing basketball to which my cousin introduced me. I was really good and even had a the chance to move to the USA and to play for a Highschool in Columbus, Ohio. But at this time I was still young and my teachers convinced me that it is smarter to finish my school here in Germany first because it´ll have more valuable to me and that I never know how a sports career will turn out.

- Just one injury and everything your worked for so hard will be gone in an instance -

So I listened again to other people and took the path they wanted me to go. At this point I was 17 years old and because I stopped playing basketball after my teachers told me to stay here I kinda had to find a new sport at which I´m good at. I thought about it really hard and then it hit me out of nothing. I had a flashback from when I was a kid and saw myself how I always trained and wanted to be the strongest. My Idols have always been Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Rocky Balboa since I was a kid and so I started to dedicated my life to fighting. I´m not coming from a rich family so I always went from gym to gym until they told me to become a member and then I was off to the next one. At this time I worked a lot to support my family, finish my school in the best possible way and also to work my ass of to become a boxer. I promised myself that this time I´ll make it and that nobody is going to take my dream.

When I finished my school and people especially my dad expected me to go to university I told myself  "No! this time I´m not giving up my dream and I´ll make it as big as I can"

I thought a lot about it and how I can achieve the next Level and so I made up my mind, packed my stuff and moved to the USA and found a new home in Boston. At the beginning I was working for a family and they gave me a room and food for my work but that wasnt the life I was aiming for. I came here by myself and all alone to fight and to become the best version of myself. So I made up a few rules and task for myself .

  • My main goal is to fight and I take whatever fight I get
  • There´s no excuse for not training
  • Because knowledge is power and I don´t know if I´m going to lose some through boxing I´m going to read one book every week
  • I made this decision to achieve my goals or I rather die before I fail (sounds hard but I really told myself that)
  • Im open minded and learn from and listen to people without having prejudices

I searched the internet then for gym´s and found a MMA gym called Boston Combat Sports at North Station then. They didn´t had boxing there but I got into MMA, Thaiboxing and BJJ. My Trainer was impressed by me and so after 3 Months he arranged my first Pro MMA fight

Before the fight me and a Teammate who was also fighting made a bet. The one who knocks his opponent out faster owns the other one 50$. Unluckily I lost to him but I still knocked my Opponent out in the first round lol.

But before I was allowed to fight I had to go through physical examination and thats where the doctor introduce me to my boxing coach which became a father figure to me.

From Day one my boxing coach believed in me and he made sure that I don´t have to live and work for that family anymore and he let me move into his house were he, his wife, his 5 children and the grandparents lived. It was a crazy household but I´ve never felt so good and welcomed in my life. My trainer and his wife made sure that I had everything and could focus on fighting a 110%.

After a few months training my trainer set me up for the New England Golden Gloves where I had to fight every Saturday for 1 Month straight. For my fights I even was invited to the Mayweather Boxing Gym and to train there. I made sure to train as much as I could there and to kick some ass in the tournament what I also did.

I won every fight and knocked out 3 of my 4 opponents and became the New England Golden Gloves Champion of 2014.

I even achieved more than I expected while being in the USA and I made my dream come true and I´ve been on the best way to become a Pro Boxer and make myself a name. What have I achieved :

  • I won all my fights doesnt matter if it was boxing, MMA, BJJ or Thaiboxing
  • I won the New England Golden Gloves
  • I trained in the Mayweather Gym
  • The doors to become a Pro fighter have never been that open to me
  • My family got bigger and I met people which became really important to me
  • I developed a mindset of a winner and in my head there was nothing I couldnt achieve

My Visa then went out and I had to go back to Germany. When I was back here I signed a deal with a guy which has been a mistake. He managed me but in a way I started to hate boxing. So for a while I stopped boxing but for the better I got introduced to Bitcoins at this Point. A friend @sirwinchester told me about Bitcoins and the potential it has and so I got more and more into it and even started a company with another guy were investor could invest there money and we would trade for them. But when the Bitcoin went down a little, the investors had cold feet and I had the sell the company. So since I came back to Germany everything kind of wasn´t going the right way and so I decided to go back to the USA, move back to my trainer and to continue my dream where I stopped.

But like people know that there´s nothing in life that we can plan, the worst thing happened to me

I worked as a bouncer at night to make more money so that I can also pay for school when I go back to the USA. But life didn´t wanted me to and out of nothing that night I got into a fight with 5 guys and one pulled a gun out and shoot me in my leg. The bullet went right through my ankle and I was done for good. It all happened in less than 30 seconds. In less than 30 seconds I lost everything I worked for and I knew that my life will never be the same again.

(I didnt wanted to upload the graphic pictures of the holes in my leg)

I was in hospital for 1 month straight just laying on my back and not able to get up. If I think about everything that ever happened to me than this definitely was the worst that ever happened to me. How was it even possible that I got shoot ? Especially in a country like Germany ? I´ve been to russia, poland, africa, colombia, mexico, the USA and no where I even got a scratch from. So in less than 30 seconds I lost everything and I felt like a mess.

But this now is the point where I wanna tell u my message. Why I´m even introducing myself and told you about all this.

My Doctor told me that I´ll never properly walk again in my life and that I´ll have a limp no matter what. I told myself NO! and that I´ll never accept that. So instead of going once a week to rehab I went 5 times straight for 6 months there. I had to learn everything from scratch again but I was willing to do that. I accepted my leg as a new leg and saw my whole situation as a gift and a new chance to start all over.

I always had the doctors words in my head that I will not walk again. So I told myself :

"Fuck it I´ll prove him wrong. You´re not only going to walk again, you´re going to run again !"

I proved all the odds wrong and became an even stronger person through all this

- Everybody will suffer pain but its our decision to make if we wanna keep on suffering or fight our way back -

During the time in rehab I could´nt train myself that much or the way I wanted to and so I started to help other people with my knowledge and to bring them closer to their dreams. Thats how I got into personal training and since that day I can say that I never ever worked a day in my life.

                                                   - Heartwork + Hardwork = Unbeatable -
